Our Story

In 2010, Ken and I moved across the country with hope in our hearts. After more than 20 years helping vulnerable neighbours in Regina, we felt called to the East Coast to continue our mission.

We envisioned a community where everyone, regardless of their circumstances, would receive a hot meal, dignity, shelter and support. Thank you for sharing that vision with us.

Your generosity has transformed our tiny seed of hope into a thriving mission, now serving our neighbours in communities across Nova Scotia. What started in Halifax now reaches Bridgewater, Truro, Lower Sackville, the Eastern Shore and Sydney Mines on Cape Breton Island.

Your compassion has changed countless lives for the better. Thanks to you, we’ve grown from helping 20 people a day to over 400.

Our Mission

Souls Harbour rescues people from poverty, addiction and despair by offering emergency help such as food, clothing and shelter, life-changing recovery programs, and the Gospel message.

I have a passion for the less fortunate and have worked my entire adult life to change lives in communities across Canada. God’s heart is for the poor, and He has transposed this like a fine piece of music, onto my own heart.
